Wouldn’t it be cool if…

…a group of ninth-graders could invent something that would improve our quality of life? Our premier sponsor, Time Warner Cable presents “Wouldn’t It Be Cool If…?” as a part of its Connect a Million Minds program. WIBCI’s assignment is simple: create something that uses math and science to make life more awesome.

On Tuesday March 27, students from the Boys and Girls Club and Wilson Foundation Academy will meet at RIT’s Center for Student Innovation to present their ideas to a panel of judges. Judges from the local community include City Council President Lovely Warren, City Court Judge Stephen Miller, Time Warner Cable Assistant Vice President Scott Knaub, Rochester City School District Superintendent Dr. Bolgen Vargas, and RIT’s own executive assistant to the president, Dr. Barry Culhane.

“Wouldn’t it be cool if…?” is sponsored by Time Warner Cable‘s Connect a Million Minds program (CAMM). CAMM is a five-year philanthropic effort that aims to revive youth interest in STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and math).
