Gearing up for the festival

With just 36 days remaining before the fifth annual Imagine RIT Festival, we want to give a shout out to another festival that began its tradition just last year.

On April 28 and 29 over 3,000 exhibits will be on display at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC for the second annual USA Science & Engineering Festival. The festival will also feature over 100 live stage performances and over 30 different author presentations.

USASEF’s mission is to reinvigorate our youth’s interest in STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and math). To do so, they’ve added new features this year: a book fair, college fair and job fair. There will even be a “Meet the Scientist/Engineer” networking area so students can meet real professionals and learn about what they do every day.

The USA Science & Engineering Festival is a free event sponsored by Lockheed Martin. RIT is also a titanium sponsor of this year’s festival.
