The LED Cube (and…Get Your Proposals Ready!)

The LED Cube (and...Get Your Proposals Ready!)

Stay tuned for an announcement about the launch of our proposal submission system for Imagine RIT 2013!

In the meantime, let’s hear it for the College of Applied Science & Technology who sent us this photograph. It represents the beginnings of the ECTET LED cube built by Joe Micceri, Eugene Kallivrousis and Chris Brown. They hope to display the cube at Imagine RIT on May 4, 2013. A LED cube is special in that it has a third dimension, making it 3D. Think of it as many transparent low resolution displays. In normal displays it is normal to try to stack the pixels as close as possible in order to make it look better, but in this cube you can see through it due to its design and spacing.
