Green Everything!

Last year, President Destler took steps to reduce the bottled water consumption on RIT’s campus. With a handful of ‘go-green’ exhibits at this year’s Imagine RIT festival, it seems members of the RIT community may be following suit. From start to finish, you can plan your day on Saturday, May 4 to be an eco-friendly one.

Head to Ingle Auditorium in the Student Alumni Union from 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm to see Project Runway Goes Green, an exhibit by RIT’s Student Environmental Action League. See the interesting and innovative clothing made from post-consumer products, and watch as the designers compete for the judge’s attention!

Visit the Eco-Fabulous: Homemade Science and Sustainability exhibit in Sustainability Hall, RIT’s brand new green building! Try out their eco-friendly experiments that will educate the whole family on a more sustainable lifestyle. When you’re done, stay and check out the new building which is an exhibit of its own!

Also, keep an eye out for the Zero Waste at RIT and Recycling by Cycling exhibits that will be traveling across campus helping visitors properly dispose of all recyclable materials!

These are just a few of the ‘go-green’ exhibits you will be able to see at Imagine RIT 2013. For a complete list, visit the Plan Your Day website and check out Green Place, the zone full of everything green!
