Poster To Commemorate Anniversay

Since the inception of Imagine RIT in 2008 we have hosted a poster design contest for RIT students to showcase their artistic innovation and creativity.

And this year is no exception.

With upwards of 70 entries annually, the online voting gallery is always a big hit among students, faculty, and staff as well as anyone who decides to visit our website to vote for their favorites.

The winner is announced by mid-March and then visitors to Imagine RIT can pick up a free copy of the winning design printed in a vertical, 14″ x 20″ format, suitable for displaying in a dorm room, home or office.

Are you a collector of posters from festivals past?  Perhaps you are missing one?  Visit our website where you can download and print any one of the past nine years’ winners.

RIT students who wish to enter this year’s contest may do so by February 17.

In commemoration of the 10-year anniversary of Imagine RIT, we have created a compilation poster displaying nine years’ of posters in a grid format. This is also available for download on our website, and after Intersession (holiday break) we will make this poster available to students, faculty and staff for pick up in specific locations around campus.  Stay tuned!

Play a Game and Imagine Your Future

Imagine Your Future is back! This monopoly-style game has been growing in popularity amongst parents, teachers and our younger visitors since its inception at the 2009 Imagine RIT festival.  Four hundred exhibits can be overwhelming and having a game to play can help families decide where to go first, especially if they have a limited amount of time to spend at the festival.

The object of the game is to travel to exhibits listed on the game board (located within each zone at Imagine RIT) collecting “stamps” from each exhibit visited. The more stamps you collect, the more chances you have at winning an Imagine RIT Prize Pack.  Every person who plays will receive an Imagine RIT badge.

Each exhibit on the Imagine Your Future game board is targeted towards 7-15 year olds, giving kids an extra layer of fun and engagement during their festival experience.  Traverse the galaxy at “Space Adventure”, interact with marine life at “RIPPLE: Explore the Coral Reefs”, or create a necklace from your own DNA at “DNA Necklaces”…imagine.

View and print a copy of the Imagine Your Future game here, and bring it with you to the festival, or pick up a free copy at any Welcome Center the day of the festival, Saturday, May, 3 2014, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
